Press review - July
Introducing the SENEF and Progiclean Press Review. This monthly press review is a digest of all the latest news from the cleaning sector. Here is the July issue.
Revalorized Minimum Hierarchical Income (RMH)
What is RMH?
The Revenu Minimal Hiérarchique (RMH) is the minimum wage that an employee in the cleaning sector should receive. It is set according to the employee's position and level of experience. In other words, it's like a wage floor below which employers can't pay their employees.
How is the RMH set?
- Annual negotiations: Each year, representatives of employers and employees in the cleaning sector meet. They negotiate and set the amount of the RMH.
- Salary grids: The results of these negotiations are then translated into salary grids that indicate the RMH for each position and level of experience.
What's new for July 2024
For the year 2024, two agreements have been signed to raise pay in the cleaning sector:
- RMH increase in two stages: To compensate for inflation, RMH has been increased in two stages: the first on January 1, 2024, and the second on July 1, 2024.
- Revaluation of annual bonus: From November 1, 2024, employees in the cleaning sector will benefit from an increase in their annual bonus.
Employees in the cleaning sector will benefit from improved working conditions in 2024, with an increase in the minimum wage and annual bonus. These improvements are the result of negotiations between employer and employee representatives.
